

New Shed.
If you are a beekeeper and reading this then you'll understand the need for space and storage... you can never have too much! I have been really lucky that the farmer at one of the countryside apiaries agreed to let me put in a shed on site. Once Summer arrives i'll be most grateful for having all the boxes and equipment I need on hand and won't be lugging it all across the field. It will also provide a nice location for a cup of tea and shelter from Summer showers.

I meant to discuss this a month ago but with a new addition to the family, finding the time has been a little more diffcult. As we approach the end of Winter and begin to think of Spring us beekeepers must not be complacent. This time of the year is when we see many a demise of bee colonies due to starvation. My own observations have shown that bees tend to use little of their stores through until Christmas as the rearing of brood either slows or stops entirely for a period a
